Jones Lang LaSalle's Paris office said it has advised UK home and business energy supplier EDF on leasing 10,300 m2 of office space within Le Carre Vert office building at Levallois in the north-western suburbs of Paris.
Le Carre Vert, which is owned by Dutch property company Wereldhave, previously housed the headquarters of risk management company Aon and is currently being redeveloped by Wereldhave to become a High-Quality Environment (HQE) certified building. EDF is renting the property for a fixed term of nine years. JLL advised both the lessee and the lessor.
The Hague-based Wereldhave recently unveiled a new strategy aimed at increasing its retail portfolio while divesting logistics assets and property with a value of less than EUR 20 mln. The company's French assets represent around 7% of its total portfolio.
