Warsaw-listed Echo Investment has acquired an area of over three hectares in the north-western Polish city of Koszalin in order to build a modern shopping-entertainment centre. The centre will contain approximately 35,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of lettable space and a car park for around 1,000 cars. Construction is scheduled to begin in H2 2009 and be completed in H2 2011.

The centre will contain approximately 35,000 m2 of lettable space and a car park for around 1,000 cars. Construction is scheduled to begin in H2 2009 and be completed in H2 2011.

Echo Investment has developed 15 shopping centres and four shopping-entertainment centres in Poland and has recently expanded into the Hungarian and Romanian markets. Investment plans for 2007-2013 assume realisation of 43 new investments, a significant increase of capital expenditures and additional EUR 250 mln allocated to the purchase of land for new projects. Among the company’s most recent investments are land purchases in Lodz for a residential project, office projects in Lodz and Katowice, and commercial centres in Kalisz and Brasov, Romania.
