German inner-city shopping centre specialist ECE has announced the opening of Limbecker Platz mall in Essen on Thursday.
Located in the Essen's city centre, the shopping mall with a total rental area of 70,000 m2 was developed in three years at a cost of approximately EUR 300 mln.
The mall comprises more than 200 shops, restaurants, cafés and service providers over three floors. Limbecker Platz will employ approximately 2,000. The centre provides around 2,000 parking spaces.
Project partners for the Limbecker Platz are Union Investment Real Estate as main investor, Arcandor as well as ECE, which developed and planned the shopping centre and will be responsible for the long-term centre management.
