ECE, the Hamburg-based shopping centre specialist, has won the management and leasing mandate from the owner of the recently opened Mari centre in Moscow which is experiencing vacancy issues.
ECE said in a statement that it aims to work with the owner, Russian company FSK Leader, 'to reposition the centre to significantly increase the low occupancy rate' at the 50,000 m2 Mari shopping centre and entertainment centre.
Opened in 2015, the shopping centre and entertainment centre is located in the southeast of Moscow in the Maryino district between Porechnaya Ulitsa and the banks of the river Moskva. The centre features about 200 shops. Its anchor tenants include a Victoria supermarket, Detskiy Mir, a specialist for toys, children's fashion and equipment, and a Mirage cinema. There are also facilities for sports, leisure and cultural activities, and 1,650 parking spaces.
ECE Russia now manages six centres, comprising a total of 1,000 shop units and 350,000 m2 of leaseable space, making it the largest provider of shopping centre management services in Russia. ECE has been active in the Russian market for over 10 years.
