Austrian listed property firm Immofinanz has mandated ECE Russia for the management of its 165,000 m2 Golden Babylon Rostokino shopping centre in Moscow.

Opened in 2009, the mall comprises a leasable area of 165,000 m2 and over 450 shops as well as 5,000 parking spaces. It is anchored by an O'Key hypermarket, a Stockmann department store, MediaMarkt, all Inditex retail concepts, an H&M store as well as a cinema, a food court, and a DIY-store.

'We have more than 10 years of experience on the Russian market and we intend to acquire further properties of international or Russian ownership. The Golden Babylon at the Mira Prospekt of Moscow is one of the largest inner-city shopping centers in Europe. Cooperating with Immofinanz will take our activities in Russia to a new level,' said Stefan Zeiselmaier, managing director of ECE Russia.

ECE's Russian arm has recently also taken over the management of the DreamHouse shopping centre in Moscow as part of a joint venture with the Romanov Property Holdings Fund. Dream House comprises 9,200 m2 over 65 shops.

ECE Russia was founded in 2004 and currently operates Vremena Goda in Moscow and Aura in Yaroslavl.
