German retail specialist ECE Projektmanagement has started construction of the Zielone Arkady shopping centre in the northern Polish city of Bydgoszcz.
This is the largest project undertaken to date by ECE's Polish business and will be the biggest shopping centre of the city. It will comprise a leasable area of 50,000 m2, with 200 shops and restaurants over three levels.
ECE said it will invest around €150 mln in the mall, which is due to open in the winter of 2015.
Almost 40% of the areas are currently pre-let, with tenants including fashion retailers Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius and Oysho. 'Leasing is already in full swing,' commented Rafa Pruba, director leasing of ECE Polska. 'I am very confident that we will swiftly lease out Zielone Arkady completely.'
