ECE, the German inner-city mall specialist, is due to open the EUR 100 mln Arkady Pankrac shopping centre in Prague on Friday. The shopping centre was built in a partnership between French-Dutch property giant Unibail-Rodamco and ECE and is ECE´s 100th mall in Europe.

Describing Arkády Pankrác as a milestone in ECE's 40-year history, Alexander Otto, CEO of ECE, said, 'As our 100th shopping centre in Europe, it stands for a company strategy with a long-term orientation.'

This state-of-the-art shopping centre is located in the largest of Prague's city quarters, Prague 4 - Pankrác. It features almost 140 specialised shops, service points, cafés and restaurants over 45,000 m2 on three floors. Fully let for several months, the centre's largest tenants are the fashion stores Peek & Cloppenburg, H&M, New Yorker and the Inditex Group, which includes stores such as Zara, Stradivarius and Bershka. There are also a variety of other international and Czech retail concepts.

The centre was built over a 17-month period by Austrian construction company Strabag.

'The Arkády Pankrác Center is another completed project in Unibail-Rodamco´s portfolio. We shared in the development and are also majority owner,' said Arnaud Burlin, managing director Unibail-Rodamco for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
