Golden Hall is the second shopping centre opened by Germany's ECE Projektmanagement and Greek listed developer Lamda Development. The partners said they have invested a total of EUR 75 mln in the development of the mall. ECE-Lamda also operate the popular shopping centre The Mall Athens. Both malls are owned by Lamda Development.

The new shopping mall in Athens is situated adjacent to the Olympic stadium, where the Olympic Games were held in 2004. The scheme has a catchment area of more than 2.2 million inhabitants within a 30-minute driving distance.
