ECE's Turkish arm has doubled the size of Carrefour's Maltepe shopping centre on the Asian side of Istanbul from 31,000 m2 to 75,000 m2.
Maltepe Park Shopping Center, which opened this week after a construction period of 21 months, currently provides 250 specialist stores, restaurants and cafés over three floors and 3,500 parking spaces.
The project, involving an investment of €70 mln, included the refurbishment of the existing scheme.
Maltepe Park has been operated by ECE Türkiye since its opening in 2005. The mall is owned by CarrefourSA, a joint venture between the European retail sector leader Carrefour Group and Sabanci Holding, a Turkish holding company.
