Dutch retailer V&D will open its 61st store in November. The new store in Doetinchem will have 6,000 m2 of sales floor and replace Huls, one of the country’s last privately owned department stores. V&D is part of Maxeda, a privately-held retail group headquartered in Amsterdam.
The location is under a ten-year lease and will be fitted out along the lines of the 180-year-old company's new retail concept launched last year. The concept, focusing on the client and the market, has already booked positive results. V&D’s award-winning restaurant formula, La Place, will also be represented in Doetinchem, with a La Place Restaurant, a La Place Panini shop and a café with patio.
The property has been leased from a group of private investors represented by property management company Commendo.
