The organisers of annual Dutch real estate trade fair Provada have postponed this year's event from its usual summer fixture to late October, citing ongoing uncertainty about the course of the coronavirus pandemic.
Provada was scheduled to take place in the RAI exhibition centre in Amsterdam from 1-3 June 2021, but has now been moved to 26-28 October at the same venue. Last year, the fair was also postponed, taking place as a hybrid physical and virtual event in November.
In a New Year statement, the organisers said the situation regarding the pandemic is little changed from what it was in 2020. 'The [national] vaccination programme has yet to start and we cannot foresee what may happen in the meantime in terms of how the pandemic evolves. That is why we have taken a drastic decision now.'
Provada 2021 will again take a hybrid format, offering both physical and virtual stands, networking opportunities and conference sessions. The theme of this year's edition is 'Dare to Dream. Together for a better built environment'.
Mipim is still scheduled to take place as a physical event from 7-10 June in Cannes.
