Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW), the Dutch healthcare sector pension fund, has reported a return of 14.7% on its property portfolio last year.
The pension fund had €15.6 bn invested in real estate at end-2012, representing about 12% of its overall assets under management of over €110 bn.
PFZW reported a return of 14.7% for the year on its real estate assets, and a return of 4.2% for the fourth quarter.
The pension fund noted in its fourth quarter update that real estate and listed equities performed well during the quarter.
The share portfolio comes to €34.4 bn, about 37% of the overall portfolio.
The pension fund's asset management are handled by PGGM, and account for about 90% by volume of the investments handled by PGGM.
