Aldermen from the cities of Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht as well as the director of Amsterdam's Zuidas business district will give a presentation at MIPIM on Wednesday 9 March on the theme 'Winning Cities - The Next Generation'. The event is being organised by PropertyEU and City Leaders, a joint initiative with MIPIM organiser Reed Midem, and will be held at the Gateway Netherlands stand (03.23) at 15.30. Keynote speaker is Rosemary Feenan, director of Global Research Programmes at Jones Lang LaSalle.

In her keynote speech, Feenan will touch on the distinguishing role cities can play in setting themselves apart from the competition and their ability to forge new alliances between providers of private equity and debt. She will also highlight the role sustainability and technology have to play as drivers of growth. Feenan will conclude her speech by examining the investment strategy pursued by major Dutch cities in recent years.
The latest City Leaders publication contains a ranking of the 100 most relevant cities for the international real estate market, based on criteria such as population, GDP and projects under development. PropertyEU has started preparations for the 2011 edition which will be published this autumn.
