Only six office buildings of over 7,000 m2 are available in central Dublin for occupiers looking for a large office space, according to property consultants CBRE latest Dublin Offices Vacancy Map.
Although there is a large amount of office stock being marketed to let in the capital, there are now only six office buildings located in the prime Dublin 2/4 postcode which could accommodate a requirement of more than 7,000m2 in a single building.
The report comes as the Irish Central Bank has agreed to pay EUR 8 mln for the part-complete former Anglo headquarters building at North Wall Quay in Dublin Docklands.
Marie Hunt, Executive Director and Head of Research at CBRE, said the occupier´s decision to purchase this part-complete building was 'not surprising'
given there are no new office schemes in the development pipeline and unlikely to be any new speculative office development in Dublin until at least 2014.
