DTZ has expanded its presence in Switzerland with the addition of a French-speaking business based in Geneva.The new team in Geneva includes Matthew Leguen de Lacroix and Anna Briffod, both formerly directors at CBRE's affiliate in Geneva as well as local partners, Juan Munoz and Pierre Stämpfli. The office will be lead by Matthew Leguen de Lacroix, who is also vice chairman of RICS Switzerland.

The expansion follows recent news that DTZ's global client Yahoo plans to move its European headquarters to the Lake Geneva region.

DTZ pointed out that Switzerland has shown relative immunity to the financial crisis thanks to a stable economy, low inflation and low interest rates. Switzerland's cantons can provide tax breaks which a number of DTZ's clients have been able to benefit from.
