Global property adviser DTZ has created a new senior managerial position within its Northern European management structure in response to rapid growth in the region, particularly the shopping centre development boom.

Alan Colquhoun, currently managing director at DTZ in Poland, has been appointed managing director, Poland & Central Europe. DTZ's managing directors in Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic remain in place, but will report to Colquhoun in Poland rather than the UK-based Northern European managing director, Peter Collins. The DTZ business in these four Central European countries now employs a total of 300 people.
