The site will be connected to the city centre through a newly built surface metro line.

In a statement last week, the companies said that total investment for the project is estimated at around EUR 1.5 bn. The building is expected to host approximately 20 - 25 million visitors per year and will create 15,000 new jobs. Construction of the autodrome is expected to start soon with completion planned for 2011. A six-kilometre circuit will be set up to host both Formula 1 and MotoGP which will be available for amateur use as well.

The complex will include about 300,000 m2 of retail space and two hotels featuring a total of 1,000 rooms, as well as a convention and wellness centre.
