DoubleTree by Hilton has made its debut in Poland with the opening of a hotel on the site of the former 'Dreams Factory' film studio in Lodz.

The newly built DoubleTree by Hilton Lodz pays homage to the golden age of Polish cinema. Its 8,000 m2 glass façade depicts a scene from one of the many Polish film masterpieces to have emanated from Lodz’s famous ‘Dream Factory’ studios.

Once inside the 200-room hotel, guests are given a tour through cinematic history with guest rooms featuring film motifs, whilst its swimming pool forms a visual tribute to the works of Oscar winning director, Roman Polanski.

Simon Vincent, president of EMEA for Hilton Worldwide, said, 'Hilton Worldwide has a long history of association with the film industry and DoubleTree by Hilton Lodz builds on this heritage in an important European market. Over the last six years, we have expanded our Polish portfolio with openings in some of the country’s most visited cities including Gdansk, Krakow and Warsaw; with increasing interest in destinations across the country the new hotel in Lodz marks a superb debut for DoubleTree by Hilton.'
