In his new role, Andermann, 51, reports to CEO Aydin Karaduman, who is responsible for the company's funds business at management board level.

Andermann has been active in the real estate funds business for more than 20 years, most recently as head of fund management at Real IS, where he managed more than 50 retail funds and four institutional funds, with a volume of over €5 bn. Prior to this, Andermann held various executive positions at companies including Palmer Capital and Invesco Real Estate, with responsibility for structuring fund products and for developing business with institutional investors.

Also this week, DIC Asset said it has  restructured its management board, reducing the number of board members from four to three. Rainer Pillmayer, COO of DIC Asset since June 2013, will leave the company by mutual consent at the end of his contractual term on 31 May 2016. In the future, CEO Aydin Karaduman will take on the role of COO in addition to his responsibility for the corporate strategy, and thus be in charge of fund, asset and property management.

Sonja Wärntges (CFO) will remain in charge of finance & controlling while Johannes von Mutius, so far responsible for the sales division, will also pool and manage the buying and selling activities in the investment division in the role of CIO. The move is intended to align the management board with the new growth strategy of DIC Asset.
