'Securing this modern property in Düsseldorf - where it occupies a location of major infrastructural and economic significance, is raised by a well-established property developer and is let to auspicious tenants - marks the next milestone in our growth strategy,' said Sonja Wärntges, CEO of DIC Asset.

The new-build scheme in the city’s Kennedydamm office submarket will have a lettable area of 20,500 m2, and is already 85% pre-let on a weighted average lease term of 12.6 years.

The main tenant is Bankhaus Lampe and the project completion is scheduled for year-end 2019.

The deal follows another recent high-profile transaction in the city. Last week, Deka closed on the Stadttor asset in the Mediahafen district for a price believed to exceed €200 mln.
