Deutsche Finance International (DFI), a pan-European private equity real estate firm and affiliate of Deutsche Finance Group, has promoted three people in its London and Madrid-based teams.
Paul Nearchou, based in London and formerly of Patron Capital, has been promoted to partner and will co-lead the firm’s investment activity alongside founding partner, Gavin Neilan.
Nearchou, who was once featured as a Rising Star by PropertyEU, previously led investment and asset management in Northern Europe and played a prominent role in the creation of the firm’s Danish student accommodation and co-living platforms, as well as multiple investments in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
Francesco Orofino, having joined DFI in 2019, and is also based in London is promoted to investment director having been VP and head of hospitality, playing a leading role in the acquisition of the iconic Central Hotel in Dublin, which has subsequently undergone a significant repositioning and will reopen as Ireland’s first FI Hoxton Hotel later this year, as well as the creation of the firm’s Irish residential rental platform.
Candice Depollier has been promoted from associate to VP in DFI’s asset management team.
Based in Madrid, she joined the firm in 2021 and is involved in asset management activity across DFI’s portfolio which is central to its value-add investment strategy, including the firm’s Spanish affordable residential rental platform, Spanish luxury lifestyle residential project and German mixed-use projects.
Neilan said: 'Paul has played a central role in the growth of our platform, having been with us from the very beginning, and Francesco and Candice are also important members of the team.'
DFI manages €4 bn of assets.
