UK-based Development Securities has teamed up with the urban regeneration specialist Centros Miller to redevelop the Southern Gateway site in Crawley, south of England, for a residential-led, mixed-use scheme. The revamp includes a 18,580 m[sup]2[/sup] scheme on a 0.9-hectare site, including retail units on the ground floor and six storeys of apartments.

UK-based Development Securities has teamed up with the urban regeneration specialist Centros Miller to redevelop the Southern Gateway site in Crawley, south of England, for a residential-led, mixed-use scheme. The revamp includes a 18,580 m2 scheme on a 0.9-hectare site, including retail units on the ground floor and six storeys of apartments.

A planning application will be submitted to Crawley Borough Council in February, with consent expected by the summer, the property development and investment company said. Financial details of the venture were not disclosed.

The site, on the southern edge of Crawley town centre, is adjacent to land earmarked for a new library and offices by West Sussex County Council, and is close to the County Mall shopping centre.The new joint venture follows completion of the Princes Road project by Development Securities and Miller in the south-west of the country.
