London-based property company Development Securities has contracted Swedish construction and property giant Skanska to construct an office building at Paddington Central in London. The contract for a 13-storey building at Two Kingdom Street amounts to about £88mln (EUR 110mln).
London-based property company Development Securities has contracted Swedish construction and property giant Skanska to construct an office building at Paddington Central in London. The contract for a 13-storey building at Two Kingdom Street amounts to about £88mln (EUR 110mln).
Skanska said the office floors will be designed around an atrium and have six panoramic elevators. The building will comprise a gross floor area of 46,200 m2. Work will commence immediately and completion is scheduled for January 2010. Skanska completed One Kingdom Street, a 12-storey building with gross floor space of 32,500 m2, for Development Securities earlier this year. The construction assignment was worth £75mln.
