Deutsche Hypo said on Wednesday that it has provided a €70 mln loan to finance the Kaisergalerie mixed-use building in Hamburg.
The seven-storey asset, owned by a joint venture of Quantum Immobilien and Alstria Office REIT, has been extensively redeveloped over the past three years and reopened in late 2014.
The listed building dates back to the early 20th century and was used as a theater. It covers an area of over 18,000 m2, including 11,600 m2 of office and 4,800 m2 of retail space.
'With Kaisergalerie we are expanding our financing portfolio with the addition of another high quality and historically significant property in Hamburg,' said Andreas Pohl, CEO of Deutsche Hypo.
