Deutsche EuroShop and ECE have announced that their Galeria Baltycka shopping center opened its doors on Thursday in the Polish city of Gdansk. The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Gdansk, Pawel Adamowicz. Galeria Baltycka will include some 39,500 m[sup]2[/sup] of retail space distributed across 200 retail units. Developed over the last 18 months, its construction involved an investment of EUR 140 mln. The mall is Deutsche EuroShop's second shopping center in Poland besides the Galeria Dominikanska in Wroclaw.

ECE Projektmanagement also announced that it is developing a 54,000 m2 shopping center in Varna, Bulgaria. The mall provides some 220 high quality shops, and about 2,300 parking lots. The total investment volume of Cherno More Park is EUR 150 mln. Completion is planned for 2010.
