Lender Deutsche Bank announced on Friday that Sebastiaan van Loon will join the bank as a managing director and head of EMEA Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging and Leisure (REGLL) in Investment Banking Coverage.
Van Loon has 22 years investment banking experience and joins from UBS where he spent 18 years. He will be based in London and will report to Henrik Johnsson, co-head of Investment Banking EMEA.
Johnsson said: ‘Sebastiaan brings extensive advisory experience and client relationships to Deutsche Bank. His hire follows the recent appointment of James Liddy to our REGLL franchise and reiterates our commitment to investing in our coverage teams across the region.’
The bank has recently advised on numerous transactions in the space for clients such Vonovia on their acquisition of Deutsche Wohnen and the related equity and loan associated financings.
