Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) has appointed a former partner of law firm Cifford Chance as managing director for its German real estate investment business.
Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) has appointed a former partner of law firm Cifford Chance as managing director for its German real estate investment business.
Based in Germany, Jörn Stobbe will oversee property asset management and transactions across Germany, Austria and Switzerland for Deutsche Bank's investment unit formerly known as RREEF.
Stobbe, a qualified banker and solicitor, was previously a partner at law firm Clifford Chance. He also served as chairman of the board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in Germany for many years and as a board member of the Corporate Governance Initiative of the German real estate industry.
Pierre Cherki, head of alternatives and real assets, which includes the real estate business at DeAWM, commented: 'Jörn Stobbe is a proven real estate expert with international experience in high-profile real estate transactions, complex financing issues and portfolio restructuring.'
DeAWM has over €946 bn of assets under management across a range of asset classes. Georg Allendorf, former boss of RREEF's German business, heads DeAWN's global real estate operations.
