French law firm Deloitte Taj has appointed Corinne Knopp as a partner in real estate, with a mandate to create and develop the firm's real estate practice.

Until recently, Knopp served as head of the Paris real estate department of Hogan Lovells for 20 years.

Sophie Blégent-Delapille, managing partner of Deloitte Taj, said: 'Corinne Knopp's arrival as a partner is in line with the strong development of Deloitte Legalover the last few years, both in France and internationally.

'We are very pleased that Corinne joins our firm, bringing her expertise in real estate law to create a new cross-functional practice, closely connected to the Finance and Advisory teams of Deloitte, and dedicated to a sector that faces important challenges, whether economic, social or environmental.'

Knopp first started her career in London with British law firm Lovells, then joined its Paris office in 1991, where she developed her expertise in corporate / M&A for ten years.

In 2000, Knopp became a partner of the firm and created its real estate law practice. For more than fifteen years, she assisted French and international investors as well as asset managers in their real estate activities including investment, sale, acquisition financing, portfolio transactions or sale & leaseback transactions.

As a partner at Deloitte Taj, Knopp will focus on developing the real estate legal practice and advise investors, managers, financial partners, and other real estate professionals on their transactions and management of their real estate assets.

Knopp will as well continue to assist companies with all their real estate challenges, strategy and needs, particularly in connection with the establishment of international groups in France, the firm said.
