Pan-European logistics warehouse specialist Delin Property has appointed Raffi Killian as head of investments to support its expansion into real estate fund management for institutional investors.
Killian has considerable multi-sector real estate investment expertise, gained since 2004 in Europe and the US, principally at Round Hill Capital and Heitman.
Rob Reiskin, CEO of Delin Property, said: 'I’ve known Raffi for more than a decade, having worked with him at his two previous employers.
'He is an excellent investor, experienced in creating an institutional process and skilled at managing people. I have no doubt he will be an outstanding addition to the Delin Property team.'
Killian joins from Round Hill Capital, where most recently he led its Irish residential property investment strategy, originating a portfolio with a gross asset value (GAV) of €750 mln. Prior to this he was the portfolio manager for a commingled fund, acquiring 10 assets in Europe with a GAV of €250 mln.
An engineering graduate with an MBA from Washington University, Killian joined Heitman after a nine-month spell at Deloitte focused on real estate advisory services.
During his dozen years at Heitman he sourced and led the underwriting and due diligence for more than $2 bn (€2 bn) of investment transactions across multiple asset classes.
Said Killian: 'This is an exciting time to be joining Delin Property as it builds an institutional investment management platform on rock solid foundations, as a logistics real estate investment and development specialist.
'We’ve got ambitious plans to grow assets under management. I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in realising these goals, working closely with the senior team to shape investment strategy and with the on-the-ground teams in sourcing attractive opportunities.'
