Delin Property, the European logistics warehouse specialist, has appointed Florus Paans to oversee and implement asset management and leasing strategies on the 14 properties it operates in the Netherlands.
Paans has more than 12 years of commercial real estate experience and joins Delin Property from Cushman & Wakefield, where he led the industrial and logistics agency team for the Amsterdam and Utrecht markets.
Duncan Jarvis, Delin Property's head of portfolio management, said: 'Florus has the local market knowledge and a wealth of hands-on asset management and leasing experience to drive the performance of our Dutch portfolio.
'He is a great addition to the Delin Property team and we’re delighted to welcome him on board as we look to grow our footprint in the Netherlands.'
Paans began his real estate career in property management for Camelot Europe, where he worked for more than five years until 2016, when he left for Australia.
Based in Sydney, he spent almost two years in sales and leasing, specialising towards the end of his time there in the industrial and logistics market. He returned to the Netherlands in 2017 and joined Cushman & Wakefield.
Delin Property’s portfolio in the Netherlands is either owned by the company or by Delin Property Dutch Core/Core+ Logistics Fund, in which it is also an investor.
Reporting to Jarvis, Paans will be responsible for managing and leasing more than 420,000 m2 of distribution space across the Dutch warehouse portfolio.
Said Paans: 'I’m excited to be joining a company with growth ambitions in the Netherlands, where it already has quality assets in key strategic locations and a strong on-the-ground team supporting its tenants.
'As an owner, developer, operator and manager of logistics warehouses Delin Property has all the capabilities to seize the opportunities arising in the Dutch market.'
