Reporting directly to Delancey’s head of capital markets, Lorna Brown, Drew will be responsible for underwriting, sourcing, and executing debt strategies to support a range of Delancey’s clients and mandates.

This will include both sourcing debt for equity investments and originating and structuring debt investments for the Delancey debt platform.

Brown said: 'Kate has strong experience in real estate debt with an impressive track record of sourcing and executing deals.

'We look forward to her joining the team and leveraging her experience as we continue to grow our real estate debt capabilities in support of the wider business.'

Drew joins Delancey from Legal & General Investment Management where she was part of a small team which was responsible for doubling asset under management for the real estate debt platform. She also worked closely with the LGIM investor relations team and supported external fund-raising activities.

Prior to that role, Drew spent three and a half years at the Lloyds Banking Group where she was part of the commercial real estate team and was directly involved in transactions of over £750 mln (€868 mln) across UK real estate senior debt deals covering all major asset classes.
