Deka Immobilien GmbH has bought a landmark office building in Lyon from French developer 6ème Sens Immobilier for an undisclosed sum.
The former Citroën HQ, dubbed New Deal, was built in 1932 in an art deco style. It was extensively renovated in 2015/16 and is located in the seventh arrondissement of Lyon.
The 22,00 m2 asset, which has 166 parking spaces, was purchased for the Deka-ImmobilienEuropa fund.
As well as retail space on the ground floor, preserving the building's original showroom elements, it comprises office and training areas on the upper floors.
The property was almost completely leased to seven users before its relaunch in 2016, when it was awarded a BREEAM Excellent certificate. The principal tenant is the international business school INSEEC.
