German fund manager Deka Immobilien has purchased the Hackesches Quartier office and retail complex in Berlin for its WestInvest InterSelect open-ended property fund.

German fund manager Deka Immobilien has purchased the Hackesches Quartier office and retail complex in Berlin for its WestInvest InterSelect open-ended property fund.

The vendor is a fund managed by listed property group IVG Immobilien. Financial details were kept confidential.

Built in 2011, the eight-storey complex in Berlin Mitte boasts a LEED Gold environmental certificate and provides 33,500 m2 of space, including 28,000 m2 of office and 4,200 m2 of retail space. The building is almost fully let to a range of tenants including energy supplier Gasag and advertising agency Scholz & Friends.

Deka Immobilien was advised by law firm GSK Stockmann + Kollegen and CB Richard Ellis. BNP Paribas Real Estate and law firm Hogan Lovells acted for the vendor.
