The organisers of the Mipim Architectural Review Future Project Awards 2010 have announced a final call for entries to the designers of tomorrow's iconic architecture to submit their projects for the 2010 competition.
With 27 November 2009 set as the final deadline for entries, architects are invited to submit their schemes for the annual competition, which identifies and celebrates good quality architectural design for projects either still on the drawing board or under construction.
The awards programme is an international design competition, with last year’s winning schemes hailing from Brazil, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Spain and France.
Previous winners have included Foster + Partner's 30 St Mary Axe in London, Manuelle Gautrand’s Citroën showroom on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, and last year's offices category winner Odile Decq Benoit Cornette Architects Pavilion 8 in Lyon.
Nominations for the 2010 Awards are welcome in the following categories:
Big Urban projects
Regeneration and Masterplanning
Tall buildings
Mixed use
Offices
Residential
Retail and leisure
There will also be an additional Sustainability prize awarded to one project entered in any of the above categories, and an Overall Winner award will also be announced from among the prize winners. Neither of these categories can be entered separately.
Paul Finch, director of the Mipim Architectural Review Future Project Awards, said, 'The response so far has been very encouraging, and the judges are eager to review a unique collection of high-calibre design projects.' An international jury chaired by Finch will be announced shortly.
