Independent debt advisory business BBS Capital has appointed David Church as a non-executive director, working closely with the senior team, led by Joanne Barnett and Adam Buchler.

Church joins BBS Capital with 35 years’ experience in the sector. He ran the Corporate & Investment banking business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from 2006 until 2015, taking the team to a market-leading position in EMEA equity capital markets and M&A.

He then left to establish Leon Partners, an independent real estate advisory business whose clients included British Land, Lone Star and Tetrarch. He sold Leon to HFF which is now part of JLL. Church has worked on numerous landmark transactions including multiple IPOs, take-privates, asset-backed and other corporate deals. David is also an investor and non-exec director of Tetrarch, as well as a non-exec director of Invel, the real estate investment and asset manager focused on south-east Europe and other selected European markets.
 
BBS Capital’s board of non-executive directors also includes Chris Tinker, who joined the business in early 2020 following his retirement from Crest Nicholson PLC where he spent his last year as interim CEO.
