Dutch private real estate firm Chipshol has sold a business park near Amsterdam's Schiphol airport to two data centre developers for €35 mln.
The 100,000 m2 site Data Hub 3.0 has been divided between Dutch Data Center Development, which will own 60,000 m2, and German company e-shelter. Two years ago Chipshol sold a 21-hectare site beside the Aalsmeerbaan runway at Schiphol airport for €38 mln.
The company said the sale was the latest phase of its plan to divest its land around Schiphol . The municipal council has given permission to develop data centres with a maximum height of 20 metres.
Dutch Datacenter Development is a Dutch company that builds data centres speculatively, while e-shelter is one of the largest developers and operators of high-value data centre across Europe, including the giant Campus Frankfurt 1.
Chipshol still owns a 800,000 m2 site to the north of the airport which it plans to develop in collaboration with top foreign developers as part of the airport city scheme.
