Czech-Dutch real estate investment holding Fidurock has acquired the Trutnov retail park in the Czech Republic from the Czech Real Estate Investment Fund (CREIF).
Financial details were not disclosed, but Fidurock said that the deal was the largest in the company's history.
Trutnov retail park, which provides a gross area of 23,000 m2, is one of the largest retail parks in the Czech Republic and the largest in the region.
It has a strong mix of 16 tenants including Tesco, OBI, Planeo Elektro, Intersport, JYSK and KFC, and an attractive location by the main road to Peca pod Snežkou, where almost 17,000 cars pass by every day.
According to Fidurock, the deal brings its retail real estate portfolio in the Czech and Slovak Republics to in excess of 100,000 m2.
The buyer plans to further develop Trutnov with the addition of a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of the park, expansion of the parking lot, and charging for electric cars.
