The Well Living Lab is a research facility built to study and understand the interaction between health, well-being, and indoor environments through human-centered research.

'Wellness is a strategic imperative for our firm and for our clients,' said John Forrester, president, Cushman & Wakefield.

'We understand the value of investing in health and well-being and that it will provide both immediate and long-term benefits. At Cushman & Wakefield, we are taking a leading role in the wellness movement and becoming a founding alliance member of the Well Living Lab demonstrates that.'

A facilitator or inhibitor of human performance
'The built environment is increasingly recognized as an important facilitator – or inhibitor – of human performance, well-being, and a healthy lifestyle,' said Despina Katsikakis, international partner & head of occupier business performance, Cushman & Wakefield.

'There is a growing awareness that employee health and well-being can contribute to business performance and we have the ability to enhance it by leveraging the work environment as a healthcare intervention tool.'

The Well Living Lab, a collaboration of Delos and Mayo Clinic, focuses on identifying how indoor environments impact human health and wellbeing. It conducts scientific research with human subjects in a simulated real-world environment located in Rochester, Minnesota.

The Cushman & Wakefield Wellness Practice currently provides workplace wellness strategy development, wellness employee engagement and change management, technology platform strategy and programme management, on-site wellness support, and WELL & Fitwel Certification consulting services for occupiers and investors.
