European logistics specialist CTP will develop a 60,771 m2 logistics park by partially refurbishing an existing business park in Krefeld West, Germany.
Initially 31,796 m2 of new industrial and logistics space will be developed, with construction starting in 2024. This will be followed by a 29,002 m2 redevelopment of the existing 15,708 m2 logistics warehouse and 2,149 m2 of office space, which is currently leased.
A formal building request will be submitted in Q1 2024.
The new park will be designed to meet or exceed BREEAM Very Good standards, by incorporating leading technological and environmental features to minimize its environmental impact.
Rooftop photovoltaic panels will ensure a sustainable and clean energy supply, reducing CO2 emissions, while previously developed land and partially existing buildings will be reused to reduce environmental impact.

This naturally includes the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a leading business location in Germany and the city of Krefeld in particular, which has become one of the strongest commercial locations in the region in recent years.’

In view of the very positive experience with business parks in Uerdingen and Fichtenhain in recent years, I am convinced that the combination of hall and office space planned by CTP in the Krützpoort business park will also meet with high demand and ensure that new companies and jobs are attracted to Krefeld.’
The park enjoys prime location near the A44 and A40 motorways and Krefeld city center, providing seamless access for businesses and employees.
Earlier this year, CTP committed €300 mln towards expanding its German warehouse portfolio, aiming to double its pan-European network of business parks by the end of the decade. It currently boasts 33,000 m2 of industrial and logistics space under development, as well as land bank of 155,000 m2.
