The Croatian government is drawing up a number of measures in order to make investment opportunities in the country more appealing to foreign investors. The Croatian Prime minister Ivo Sanader said at the opening of the European Business Summit in Brussels that his government was working hard to create a climate favouring foreign investments. New measures soon to be introduced include simplification of the company's registration system.
Sanader stressed that foreign investment creates new jobs and that his government would always help entrepreneurs feel welcome in Croatia. 'We must end the prejudices stemming from badly organised privatisation processes in the 1990s. I believe it is time to stop looking at entrepreneurs as thieves, but as people who create new values,' he said.
