Credit Suisse Asset Management has acquired the Medi-Arena office complex in the south-east of Amsterdam for one of its funds. The investment volume for the 19,500-m2 property and a 480 parking garage comes to EUR 65 mln.
The vendor is Dutch firm G&S Vastgoed.
The property forms part of a larger scheme being developed by G&S near the Ajax football stadium in the Dutch capital on behalf of Endemol, the media company behind Big Brother. Endemol has a 10-year lease on the Medi-Arena building.
Property advisor Van Gool Elburg Vastgoedspecialisten acted for Credit Suisse in the transaction, with Loyens & Loeff providing legal advice.
The deal with Credit Suisse only concerns the office space but discussions are in the final stages with an investor interested in acquiring the media studios in the complex. Van Gool Elburg is also representing this second investor.
