MIPIM has announced the winners of its 2008 awards, issuing accolades for green buildings, office buildings, residential developments, hotel and tourism resorts. The jury was presided by Barbel Schomberg, Managing Director of German property fund Deutsche Gesellschaft für Immobilienfonds.

Winning the MIPIM award in the green building category along with the Special Prize of the Jury was the Crane Track project in Amsterdam developed by ING Real Estate Development. The architect for that project was Design Group Trude Hooykaas.
In the business centre category, the Council of Europe's new general office building in Strasbourg, France was the winning project. Art & Build Architect and local architectural firm Denu & Paradon worked on that project. The award for refurbished office building went to the Unilever House in London. That project was developed by Stanhope while Kohn Pedersen Fox is the architectural firm involved with the development.
Chimney Pot Park in Salford in the UK won the award for best residential development. Architectural firm Shedkm and developer Urban Splash worked on that project. Movenpick Hotels & Resorts’ Projekt Hotel Wasserturm in Hamburg, Germany won in the hotel and tourism resorts category. Falk von Tettenborn was the architect on the project while the interior designer was Cornelia Markus-Diedenhofen. Developers of the projects were PATRIZIA Projektentwicklung and Ernst Jo Storr.
