Corpus Sireo, the German asset management arm of Swiss Life, has announced the acquisition of three nursing homes in the cities of Bremen, Rostock and Woltersdorf near Berlin on behalf of its Health Care Fonds II.

Corpus Sireo, the German asset management arm of Swiss Life, has announced the acquisition of three nursing homes in the cities of Bremen, Rostock and Woltersdorf near Berlin on behalf of its Health Care Fonds II.

The fund, which was initially set up at the end of 2011 with a target volume of €300 mln, now owns a total of 15 properties throughout Germany.

Financial details of the latest investments were not disclosed.

In Bremen-Horn, the company has acquired from AVW Immobilien the Marcusallee am Rhododendronpark asset consisting of a total of 132 in-patient nursing care places in 84 single rooms and 24 twin rooms as well as five apartments. The centre has been operating since 2010, and consists of three sections, two of which are listed buildings. The nursing home is operated by Senator Senioreneinrichtungen.

In addition, the fund has bought two development projects in Rostock and Woltersdorf near Berlin. The Rostock asset will provide 121 single rooms and 12 twin rooms while the Woltersdorf property will offer 122 single rooms. The assets were bought from Toepel Bauunternehmung.

Both facilities are expected to be operated by AlexA Seniorendienste from 2017.
