Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers has appointed Kristina Foster as director of real estate finance - Europe.
Foster will report to Chris Bates, head of Real Estate Finance - Europe. She be responsible for sourcing new real estate financing to expand Cornerstone's debt business, both in the UK and in mainland Europe.
Foster will also assist in developing the investment strategy, the marketing programme and structuring debt products in line with client requirements, and actively sourcing investments for Cornerstone’s existing clients.
Foster is a RICS qualified real estate banker who has over 16 years experience across origination and restructuring environments in real estate markets. She joins Cornerstone from RBS where most recently she was a director in their non-core real estate division, which is tasked with the sale and run down of real estate assets identified as non-core to RBS' long term strategy.
Foster was responsible for a £500 mln mixed portfolio of performing and underperforming loans, with additional responsibility for RBS minority equity investments with a total underlying asset value in excess of £1.2 bn. Prior to RBS, she worked at DTZ, where she completed the graduate training programme and RICS qualification, before joining its European Valuation and Advisory team.
