Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers Europe has appointed Gunther Deutsch as head of Investment Transactions – Europe, in anticipation of further pan-European growth with a focus on its core and value add investment strategies.

Deutsch is the co-founder of Pamera Asset Management, the German business that Cornerstone acquired in July 2014.

He will retain his role as managing director of Cornerstone Germany, but will expand his duties to become head of investment transactions – Europe where he will be responsible, together with the local investment teams, for identifying and securing investment transactions for both core and value-add investment strategies on behalf of Cornerstone clients. He will focus on the UK, Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, France, Italy and Spain, reporting directly to Charles Weeks, CEO Cornerstone Europe.

Christoph Wittkop will continue to be responsible for Cornerstone’s German operations.

'Following the completion of the build-out of our European platform with 13 offices, over 100 employees and multiple pan-European mandates, it is becoming increasingly important that we position ourselves for growth,' commented Charles Weeks, CEO Cornerstone Europe.
