Cording Real Estate Group has appointed Merel Versteegh to its industrial team in Amsterdam as fund financial controller.

Versteegh's role will include working on Cording's newly launched open-ended Euro Industrial Real Estate Fund, which was launched in April to invest in light industrial and small logistic assets in eurozone countries. The fund has a core-plus risk profile and is aimed at institutional investors.

Before joining Cording, Versteegh worked at CBRE Global Investors as a senior fund secretary in the fund legal services team, handling legal, tax and financial matters relating to various Dutch and European real estate funds with a combined value of more than €3 bn. She was also involved in the restructuring and establishment of funds and quarterly and year-end reporting.

She has also worked in PWC's M&A team and as a tax lawyer at Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam.
