UK-based asset manager Cording Real Estate Group has expanded into the Benelux by acquiring Amsterdam-based Horizon Investment Management.
Horizon’s team of five staff, headed by Onno Scheij, manages €300 mln of assets for institutional investors including TH Real Estate.
The company will change its name to Cording while retaining its office at the World Trade Center in Amsterdam.
The takeover of Horizon takes Cording’s mandates to €2.4 bn. The company was formed in 2009 in the UK and currently has nine offices in the UK, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, employing 87 staff.
