Richard James has been appointed to the board of Cordea Savills, the international property fund manager, as chief financial officer.

Richard James has been appointed to the board of Cordea Savills, the international property fund manager, as chief financial officer.

James joins Cordea Savills from his previous role as CFO at Internos, a European property fund management business, where he had responsibility for group financial management and oversight of the finance resources in the various country and fund structures. He also oversaw the debt, compliance, insurance and IT teams.

He joined Internos in December 2009 when the company acquired GPT Halverton, where he had been CFO from June 2008. Prior to this he was an executive director and portfolio CFO for Curzon Global Partners, and vice-president and European Financial Controller at Apollo Real Estate Advisors.

James started his career at Ernst & Young in London and Hong Kong. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
