Cordea Savills, the international property investment manager, has appointed Lionel Nicolas as director of investment based in Paris. The appointment follows the recent hire of Clement Pigott as head of investment, France and Benelux in March this year.

Cordea Savills, the international property investment manager, has appointed Lionel Nicolas as director of investment based in Paris. The appointment follows the recent hire of Clement Pigott as head of investment, France and Benelux in March this year.

Nicolas is responsible for acquisitions and implementing asset management initiatives at properties in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

He has over 15 years of investment experience. He joins from Urban Premium where he was joint managing director and fund manager of the OPCI Urban Retail Invest, a fund focused on French prime retail properties. Prior to this, Lionel was general manager at Macquarie Countrywide Trust, where he was responsible for over EUR 500 million of assets and sourcing investment opportunities across Europe. Previous roles include head of retail investment at Grosvenor Continental Europe and deputy manager corporate finance real estate at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Cordea Savills is an international property fund manager with EUR 3.4 bn of assets under management at end-December 2011.
