Property investment manager Cordea Savills has purchased a prime property in Helsinki’s Central Business District for around EUR 60 mln. The property was purchased from Nordea Life Assurance Finland.
Located at Aleksanterinkatu 11, the property covers some 10,519 m2. Around 70% of the building comprises the Finnish headquarters of Svenska Handelsbanken while the remainder is retail, with tenants such as H&M and Dressmann.
Håkan Blixt, Cordea Savills’ head of investment for the Nordic region, said the property offered opportunities to add value through reconfiguring the premises. ‘The Nordic region remains a favoured investment location for Cordea Savills. The economic fundamentals, tenant covenants, quality of stock and pricing all support continued investment,’ he said.
Cordea Savills has assets under management in excess of EUR 350 mln in the Nordic region.
